Bio

Some of these are straight photographs, some are manipulated photos, but most are digital paintings. These digital paintings were painted with brushes created from my photographs. Digital artists paint with brushes that could not easily exist in the physical world. It is what makes digital art unique. The brushes used here are made using color patterns found in nature. Digital photographs become brushes by manipulating and distorting them into a brush that conveys the complex visual pattern required to produce a particular effect. I have shown both my paintings and photographs so this seemed a natural progression. Recently I have shown works at the Margret Lane Gallery in Hillsborough, NC and in two juried shows, one in the Cape Cod Art Center Digital Art Online show and one in early December 2022 as part of the 42nd Annual Faber Birren Color Show in the Stamford Art Association gallery.
